Hello Hip Hop Heads and Horror Fans,
Today I will be reviewing the EP, “Gruesome Twosome” by my two favorite spooky lyricists and hermanos, Smalls Uno and Sick Rick!!! What better day than to release a spooky project on Friday the 13th! From start to finish this project has horror vibes! If you are a horror fan and hip hop head you will definitely enjoy this body of work. You get pure grimey lyricism and horror references! The cover art was done by talented artist El Skinny Guapo, the art sets the mood for what we can expect! Fuck mumble rap! Smalls and Rick are bringing the murderous bars!
This is a short EP, but do not be fooled every track cuts deep! Perfect timing before Fall starts! The first track titled, “Krueger vs. Vorhees” the Gruesome Twosome lyrically assassinate every rhyme! Definitely a strong track to begin the project and set the scary mood! Then the second track which is my favorite of this project called, “Ghouls & Goblins” has a beat that sounds like the organ from Phantom of the Opera. It is also reminiscent of the Yonkers song by Tyler the Creator! I love the horror references throughout the track! Then you get the track, “Spooky” which is easily a Spooky anthem, both Smalls and Rick go in bar for bar!
The remaining 2 tracks continue with the spooky theme and creative horror lyricism! Go support the Spooky fam and cop this album or stream it! This is the perfect project to bump for this upcoming Fall season. Time to get Spooky!!!
