Hello Hip Hop Heads and Horror Fans,
Today I will be reviewing 18Scales’ album, Fade Nasty Chronicles Vol. 2. 18Scales is a rap duo that consists of the talented emcee Ric Scales and dope Producer and emcee Ralph Quasar. The album consists of 14 tracks with a running time of 45 minutes. The album begins with a smooth prelude titled FTF. It is a dope love song that has a very catchy vibe and hook. The production flows seamlessly. Quasar did his thing with his signature lofi and boom bap beats. His whole sound is unique and on a whole different lane. You definitely are taken on a lyrical journey. On each track Ric Scales tells us a new story or experience. You also get interludes that add sense of humor to the album.
One of the tracks that stood out to me was, “Hobby Lobbyist” it has an uplifting vibe! A more mainstream track and feel good song is, “Anything U Want” featuring Devvlov and Mandi Jo. The hit of this album is, “Captain Obvious“, seen this performed live and it goes hard! The final track I will mention is “#FuckYall“. Ric goes in and shows lyrically why he is no one to be fucked with! He has earned the respect he has! Go support the fam this project is amazing! Overall this project bumps from start to finish!
