Hello Hip Hop Heads and Horror Fans,
Today I will be reviewing Arcangel’s album, “Historias De Un Capricornio”. It is no secret that I am a huge Arcangel fan. He is actually my favorite artist from the Reggaeton/ Genero Urbano genre. He is versatile he can sing and rap his ass off! His music has substance he can do a love track, then do a hard trap song and even inspirational tracks. He really can’t be compared to anyone he created his own lane! He is constantly reinventing himself. This project has been a long time coming he announce this project years ago and I am glad it finally got a release date! As he mentioned some of the tracks were from years ago, but what I love about his sound that he is so ahead of his time the tracks fit in perfect with todays sound. It is like he never left!
The album consists of 15 tracks and a running time of 51 minutes. He opens up the album with the track, “Mi Testimonio”. If I’m not mistaken his kids open the track. It is a very introspective and inspirational track. He raps how he has gone thru a lot of struggles and surrounded by fake people, but he managed to pull thru! He is thankful he has made it this far and does miss his life before the fame. The fame is great, but it comes with its problems as well. We also get a few dope features from Bad Bunny, Sech, Myke Towers, Ozuna and Manuel Turizo. My favorite standout tracks would be Mi Testimonio, Ponte Bonita, Habitos, Sigues Con El, Memoria Rota, Te Esperare and Invicto! This is another dope project that does not have skippable tracks. I have this project on frequent rotation. If you love Arcangel you won’t be disappointed! Check it out!
