Hello Hip Hop Heads and Horror Fans,
Today I will be reviewing XP The Marxman’s new project, “Continua A Sparare (Keep Firing)”. The full project was entirely produced by the New York legend Roc Marciano! XP continues to keep the gas on the pedal with no sign of stopping! One of the hardest working emcees with quality music! Always representing for LA (San Fernando Valley to be exact). I was looking forward to see him kill the stage at the THOP fest earlier this year, but then the whole quarantine happened so we will have to wait! I have seen him perform once in SD and he commands the stage!
This project contains 6 tracks with a running time of 17 minutes. XP has also been dropping visuals consistently as well. He just dropped a video for the main single of this project, “The Have Nots” about a month ago. The music video was directed by the talented emcee I Suppose. The video takes place in an apocalyptic world due to the Rona quarantine as XP raps in a Hazmat suit! Very dope concept! The production on this project is grimey and has that NY sound complimented by XP’s signature raspy voice. All the tracks are dope. One of my favorites is, “Get Paid” as a horror and Wes Craven fan the first line stood out to me, “Wes Craven is safe haven/Ya ain’t never coming close to what we call sacred!” There are other horror references in the other tracks like, “No Idea” he mentions Hannibal Lecter. So horror fans will enjoy this as well. Go check out this project you won’t regret it! Support dope emcees!
