Movie: Ten Minutes To Midnight

Main Cast: Caroline Williams, Nicole Kang, Nicholas Tucci and more!

Release Date: 1/19/2021

IMDB synopsis: “Bitten by a rabid bat, a late-night radio host terrorizes her co-workers as she slowly transforms into a vampire.”

Hello Hip Hop Heads and Horror Fans,

Today I will be reviewing the new vampire flick, “Ten Minutes To Midnight”. It stars the horror icon Caroline Williams who is known for playing radio host “Stretch” in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2! In this film she plays Amy another late night radio host who is bitten by a rabid bat and begins to have hallucinations as she begins her vampire transformation! This movie feels like a lucid dream on acid, but I mean that as a great thing! From the beginning it’s a bit bizarre. At first I thought I knew where it was going, but I was so off! Definitely an original vampire flick like I’ve never seen before! Caroline killed her role once again as a radio host! It seems to just come natural for her! Also dope performance by Nicole Kang who ironically (and no pun intended) currently stars in the show Batwoman! So far 2021 has not disappointed with horror films. This is another horror gem that I highly recommend! Your in for a wild ride! Also the make up effects were great! Go check out this dope film!

Thank you for reading my movie review. Hope you all enjoyed it! Until next time horror fiends and hip hop heads! While you’re at it follow my blog on social media @7octoberz on Instagram and Facebook! Also follow me on YouTube and IGtv to watch my podcast Nightmare on Sedgwick Avenue.

Release Date: 1/22/2021

IMDB synopsis: “After unearthing a gem that controls an evil monster looking to destroy the Universe, a young girl and her brother use it to make him do their bidding.”

Hello Hip Hop Heads and Horror Fans,

Today I will be reviewing the movie, “Psycho Goreman”! I came across this movie on a Facebook ad. I saw the movie poster and I was intrigued! I immediately went on YouTube to watch the trailer and instantly got Power Ranger vibes with a mix of Horror and dark sense of humor. I was sold and knew I had to watch it when it dropped. I watched it last night and it lived up to the hype! The actress that played Mimi was a badass! She was hilarious she definitely has a gift! Also the actor that played Psycho Goreman stole the show! Definitely a gory fun fest! The jokes were not forced, it was hilarious! Also I loved the dope mythology and backstory to Goreman! It definitely gave me Mighty Morphin Power Rangers vibes with the music and make up on the monsters! The special effects and make up effects were amazing as well. This movie was brilliant! I highly recommend this film, it is a true contemporary horror gem!

Artist: Jazmine Sullivan

Album: Heaux Tales

Release Date: Jan 8, 2021

Buy/Stream: All Streaming

Hello Hip Hop Heads, R&B lovers and Horror Fans,

Today I will be reviewing Jazmine Sullivan’s highly anticipated return EP, “Heaux Tales”. The concept of this EP alone is dope af! She has interlude/skits of woman telling their own relationship stories. Jazmine’s vocal range on each track is crazy! In my opinion she is underrated as a singer/vocalist! Each track on this EP shows the different sides and different types of woman. I love that she flips the double standard and sings about woman owning their sexuality! The features are also amazing, from Anderson Paak to H.E.R.! Don’t sleep on this project it is definitely a contender for best R&B album of the year! She set the bar high!!!

Thank you for reading my EP review. Hope you all enjoyed it! Until next time horror fiends and hip hop heads! While you’re at it follow my blog on social media @7octoberz on Instagram and Facebook! Also follow me on YouTube and IGtv to watch my podcast Nightmare on Sedgwick Avenue.

NIGHTMARE ON SEDGWICK AVENUE – “BROTHERHOOD & EPIC SUPERNATURAL JOURNEY!!! – SUPERNATURAL SHOW FINALE”

BY: 7 OCTOBERZ

71JGTprhnSL._AC_SL1062_

Show: Supernatural Show Finale

Main Cast: Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins, Alexander Calvert and more!

Release Date: Nov. 19, 2020

IMDB synopsis: Two brothers follow their father’s footsteps as hunters, fighting evil supernatural beings of many kinds, including monsters, demons and gods that roam the earth.

Hello Hip Hop Heads and Horror Fans,

It all began in Kansas with 2 brothers fighting monsters and hunting things…

It took me awhile to finally write this post! I had to process the show finale of “Supernatural” and even watched the last few episodes twice! It was a bittersweet moment, as all of us Supernatural fans know we have been told this show would end multiple times and it kept going. So for me it was hard to believe that this was the end of this amazing monstrous journey! This show started in 2005 and I remember watching the first episode and being immediately drawn in! I grew up being told scary legends by my Abuelita so I always loved scary stories about monsters and the supernatural.

This show immediately brought nostalgia and the characters of Sam and Dean Winchester immediately grew on me! They were the brothers I never had, I literally grew up with them watching them thru the screen. I was a Sophomore in High School when this show started and now I am an adult. I spent 15 years of my life growing with these characters. So when I tell you it was hard knowing this show was ending I mean it! I cried when I saw the last 3 episodes, it was like saying goodbye to my extended family!

Sam and Dean Winchester were the embodiment of true brotherhood! They loved each other so much they did whatever every time to bring each other back from the dead. Their bond is something I can relate to with my sisters. They did a great job of showing that family always sticks together thru thick and thin. Even though they were the central characters, we can’t forget the rest of the cast that did an amazing job. From Castiel, Bobby, the ’67 Chevy Impala, John Winchester, Crowley, Lucifer, Ellen, Jo and more!!! It was great while it lasted this show will always hold a special place in my heart (as corny as that sounds). I learned a lot about monsters, demons and religious mythologies because of this show. This show truly impacted me and I will cherish it for years to come!

I have most of the seasons, but I have to buy the last few to add to my collection. This show touched many; Supernatural fans are die hard fans! Below I wanted to share a few pics of me wearing a Sam and Dean tee. I took them in 2015 when I went to Universal Studios in LA with my mom. I remember standing in line buying tickets and this young boy comes up to me and tells me he loves my shirt! That is how much these characters and this show means to people. I remember feeling happy that someone acknowledged by cool Supernatural tee lol. It was a great journey with this tv show! Supernatural’s legacy will live on forever! Till we meet again Carry on my Wayward Sons!!!
