Hello Hip Hop Heads and Horror Fans,
Today I will be reviewing Master Cypher Devine x GoomSon’s beat tape titled, “SP1000 Beat Tape”. This beat tape consists of 12 tracks filled with golden era type beats. From boombap to grimey rap that takes you back to the origin of Hip Hop! This is my second beat tape review so hope you all dig my take on this project! One of the tracks titled, “Sequence” has a violin in the instrumental if I’m not mistaken which gave the beat a Japanese aesthetic! Reminded me of something that I would have heard on a show like Westworld. Very abstract beat! You also get a track like, “Resample” that has those famous Dj scratches and a very old school boombap vibe!
I really enjoyed vibing to this beat tape! It took me back to the golden era of Hip Hop. Back when KRS-One (Boogie Down Productions) was killin’ it and Rakim was creating complex rap as we know it! Also a bit of nostalgic feel taking it back to the 90s grimey rap like Big L and Mobb Deep! This beat tape has a lot of gems! Very nostalgic feel, recommend it to all the Hip Hop heads and as a lyricist there are some beats I could definitely rhyme to! Very dope project! Go support the fam and cop a copy!
Thank you for reading my beat tape review! Hope you all enjoyed it! Until next time horror fiends and hip hop heads!
